Abstract

Results are presented in Part I of research on the state of the art expertise in information literacy (IL) in Brazil (2000-2016) involving the indicators that were built conceptually since 2003, from research project entitled "In search parameters evaluation of the training of elementary school teachers for the development of information literacy ", developed in post-doctoral level with the Postgraduate in Education Program (UNESPAraraquara) and now in continuous improvement, have been updated and reworded to analyze the document corpus on the basis of Bardin Content Analysis. Such indicators were recorded as: terminological issues; contexts and theoretical approaches; policies and strategies; social and digital inclusion; place of work; citizenship and learning lifelong; search and use of information; best practices; information management, knowledge management and competitive intelligence; libraries, librarians and archivists; media and technologies; different groups or communities; and trends and perspectives. At the end, a conceptual description of these indicators for better understanding and application possibilities in future research and studies is presented
