Abstract

This article aims to share the experience lived in the University Library of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (BU/UFSC) by government employee who work in the implementation of accessibility strategies by means of a standing committee in order to promote an inclusive institutional culture, through actions and services related to the context of this information unit. This report presents the historical course of actions, contributions, impacts and repercussions of this professional performance. In this way, we intend to contribute and dialogue with other university libraries, which develop or intend to develop similar actions in the scope of accessibility and inclusion of users with disabilities.
