Abstract

In the contemporary technological scenario, teaching environments have transformed by providing resources to assist teachers in offering the contents of the subjects. They also affect the students' learning model, which, in addition to the traditional classroom format, can count on several didactic resources that help them gain more autonomy and independence for learning. This article presents the results of a project by the faculty members of the RECRI Research Group. The project sought to transform the disciplines whose contents address the Organization and Treatment of Information, offered in-person, into domains that use strategies and resources adopted by the courses in distance learning (distance education). Thus, innovative and interactive teaching materials for specific disciplines are initially developed: DDC and UDC. Among the elaborated learning objects, videos, mind maps, remodelled exercises in quiz format, and Virtual Bookshelf stands out. It is an applied social study, and the methodological procedures have five stages. In the end, we noticed that the redesign of the discipline required the qualification of teachers to work in an distance learning environment, evidencing the need for continuous learning for the development of competencies and skills.
