Abstract

The school library has the potential to offer services that integrate various information services such as orientation in school research and reference service that can contribute to the students' school walk. It is in the library of the school that the student will learn to research and will have the first contact with this space called library, which, it is hoped, will take you to meet other libraries. The school library can also offer information resources focused on the local culture that the school is inserted, providing teachers and students with support for the activities developed with the theme. The valuation of the regional literature in the curriculum proposes strategies for the formation of readers, who are qualified to know the universe of information that the reading involves.
