Abstract

It is research carried out with the law librarians of the Court of Justice of Pernambuco, whose objective was to investigate the perception that these professionals have about the information competence, aiming to know what skills are necessary and the possible deficiencies that can be intervened. The method used to achieve the proposed objectives was qualitative, with a descriptive and exploratory approach. The result of the research revealed the law librarians who work in the Court of Justice of Pernambuco, has competence in information necessary for the performance of its activities with mastery. However, through the analysis of the data obtained, it was also possible to observe that one of the law librarians analyzed gap is related to the education of users, regarding the provision of training and the use of law information sources
