Abstract

In recent decades there has been a proliferation of the use of mobile devices, social networks and other Web 2.0 tools, both professionals, as social contexts. This reality requires effective change in the paradigms that guide the information mediation work and developing skills for the use of digital tools, both by users and the mediating team. Thus, this study presents a literature review of new digital forms of learning and the importance of the librarian as a mediator for the development of competency in infomedia educational spaces such as school, public and university libraries. Therefore, initially the study provides an overview of new forms of learning, as the traditional teaching methods are not compatible with the current time and describes how the library and the librarian can act in the development of informational and media skills needed by all in society Information and Knowledge. It also presents some important features of the space of libraries to offer new services. It is concluded that the incorporation of ICT can not be a fad, it should be made critically and in order to enhance learning, basing learning lifelong
