Abstract

The study aims to draw training the trainers program in Media and Information Literacy (MIL) for Lusophone African countries. It presents the partial results of a bibliographical research as well as data from a questionnaire applied to information professionals to define their training needs, particularly in MIL. The survey results were processed by encuestafacil software and presented in a SWOT matrix. The study shows the context of African Lusophone countries and the training needs of their information professional. It also identifies the MIL/UNESCO model, distance and presence, as the most suitable for the countries under review
