Abstract

Presents the results of research that investigates the production of papers, works in events, theses and dissertations on metter class area of information science and librarianship. It traces the history of othe groups in the Information Science area. The method is of the type referred to in the literature goals. Used as an object of study works about Associative Movement - from Brazil-, Class Entities, Class Council, Federal Council of Library (CFB) and the Regional Library (CRB) surveyed in journals, repositories themed events and based theses and dissertations field of Information Science. Concludes that librarians write little about the theme in the sources searched and that further discussions are needed.
