Switching the future of literature in the library of health sciences University of Federal Ceara

Abstract

This paper presents the current status of services for access to documents in the Library of the Health Sciences, Federal University of Ceará by service Switching Bibliography. Aims to demonstrate, numerically, the search for bibliographic exchange in that library in the period from 2000 to 2012, consider alternatives to meet the demands of university for full articles. Questioning the maintenance of networks and COMUT SCAD in the century of electronic access and open access to scientific publications. Descriptive study that points to a reduction in the use of service switching bibliographic year after year. It is considered that the units of information should direct their efforts to the training of its members towards promoting self-sufficiency of the same in relation to the search and acquisition of wishing.
