Abstract
This study presents the result of a research which aimed at elaborating a proposal for creating an institutional repository for storing, preserving and managing the academic, technical and scientific IFPB production, in digital format. The used methodology was bibliographical and descriptive with qualitative approach being systematized by means of the following ways: firstly, a bibliographical survey in order to identify technological platforms already used as well as benefits, advantages and disadvantages; afterwards, it was intended to learn about the motivation and perspectives of the IFPB community in relation to the accomplishment of a digital repository, whose data was obtained through a questionnaire answered by the Institution’s employees; and thirdly, logical, technological and political strategies for the repository were defined, based on models operated in other institutions throughout the country relating the technical and technological structure with the IFPB needs.
