Abstract

Knowledge is highly valued by companies in the information age, so many organizations have used different strategies to value information and knowledge. One of these strategies is the development of information literacy in business context. Therefore, this study has the following research question: how can information literacy contribute to business development and innovation? This paper aims to demonstrate the contribution of the corporate library to construction and development of professionals’ information literacy. The methodological procedures are based on a systematic literature review about information literacy and corporate library.  The results demonstrated that there are not many studies about information literacy in business context in Brazil and internationally. Because of that, this paper introduces a conceptual model of corporate library in the organizational processes. The corporate library encourages the development of professionals based on information literacy.
