Abstract
Innovation has become one of the most effective ways of controlling society in the 21st century, since technology has changed spaces, especially in the field of information and communication, and has become present in all classes. Institutions that stimulate the development of Innovation and Technology need organicity and practicality in their organizational structure. The Fundação Ezequiel Dias - Funed, an institution of scientific research in Minas Gerais, promotes technological development in the health area, has a robust portfolio of innovative technologies registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). This article shows the importance of the information professional in the management of innovation. Its objective is to point out the actions of this professional in the follow-up of the researches developed, with a view to transforming institutional research into innovations for the market, seeking to improve the quality of life of the population. For the development of the research, we chose to conduct interviews to evaluate the conditions, applicability and relevance of the technologies, we chose to use the Technical, Economic and Commercial Feasibility Study model and the Environmental and Social Impact (EVTECIAS). The Ezequiel Dias Foundation needs to bring to the population its rich potential for research and technological development. Implementation actions to innovation management can build bridges for the scientific and technological development of the Institution and also of the State. It was identified that the participation of an information professional is indispensable in this activity.
