Innovation in service information in the context of State University of Londrina Central Library (UEL): an analysis from the point of view of the digital ages

Abstract

The research searched analyse, from the point of view of the digital immigrants, the concept of academic library, as well to find wich are the expectations and needs that this kind of public hope the library. To contextualize the universe of the research were adressed themes like innovation, design thinking and academic libraries. It’s characterized as na study case, exploratory and qualitative.The triangulation of the datas was made through the literature study, observation and focus group. As results was possible to note some questions: the use that academic community has made of the library space has changed, the offer of wireless internet is a attractive for the use of this space, the information and comunication technology has allowed to customise the offer services according to different kinds of public that the library attend.
