Abstract

This paper presents an account of accessibility measures aimed at the visually impaired developed in the ambit of the Estante de Bibliotecária blog and the social media profiles that this blog has. With a descriptive character, this article describes the accessibility features of the three media - WordPress, Twitter and Instagram - in which the blog is present along with examples of use of this tool. In addition, the measures adopted mitigate the absence of native accessibility tools in two of the three social media analyzed are also presented. The media analyzed in this work were accessed for computer and smartphone tests. In the computer access was used the No Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) and for the access via smartphone was used the Talk Back which is the native accessibility support of the Android operating system. It concludes by pointing out that the adoption of accessibility measures in social media would allow a significant part of society to use these spaces of sociability.
